PD 621 6 Channel Digital I/O (Current Sink)

CommonIn:

Register 2, Notification in the Service Channel has been extended with a new variable - CommonIn. This variable contains the status of all the Inflags for channels 1 to 6.

In many applications, it can be an advantage to read the CommonIn variable instead of reading each Inflag/Outflag within channels 1 – 6, to reduce the number of transmissions made on

P-NET. Setting an output will automatically set the corresponding Inflag within that channel and will therefore have an effect on the variable CommonIn.

New functions available in Digital I/O Channel 1- 6:

Input hold mode
Input delay mode
Input edge detect mode

Output controlled by other channel:

The PD 621 now provides a feature that enables an Output to be controlled by another channel in the module. In applications where very fast reaction times are required, this function becomes very useful.
